The image depicts the summit of Hall’s Ridge over Detroit, Oregon after the Labor Day fires of 2020. The combined power of these fires claimed hundreds of thousands of acres of trees and destroyed thousands of homes in dozens of towns, making these among the most destructive in Oregon’s history.
